May update 2012

The cooler weather’s finally here …it’s sewing season!!

Its nearly time for Sydney’s Aust Quilt Market and Lyn and I will be going to view and order the next season’s ranges for you. By doing this, we make sure that you have access to the latest fabrics and that we can share any new trends with you. (Besides- it’s fun too!)
Classes have been scheduled from May till the end of August. Because our room is small, we limit class numbers to 6 but are more than happy to run another group if needed. Once you pay for the class, you receive your class requirements and your spot is secured. There will be something that will suit everyone – even a Mystery Quilt class - so treat yourself to a fun day sewing, meet new friends and create a wonderful masterpiece. On display are many kitted quilts with easy to follow patterns and of course all the samples for the 17 different classes on offer this term. Come in, check things out and gather inspiration from the many beautiful fabrics, books and patterns.
If you’re unable to come into the shop, keep an eye on the website in the “new arrivals” section for the latest fabrics, on the “All Pre-Cuts” where the Jelly Rolls etc are , and “A Pattern For You”. All patterns on the website are only available from Patchwork Place.
We have a big selection of Pre-cuts - Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs, Layer cakes, fat quarters, and Swags with many patterns and books for easy quilt ideas. There are many rulers and templates on the market now and we are always trying new ones. Have you tried the Westalee Rulers? Vouchers are available and we have a Lay-By system that can even be used to purchase Janome sewing machines. Janome's Mothersale is on now. The Janome Memory Craft 12000 – the newest sewing/Embroidery machine - is in store and comes with some very generous introductory specials. Can you be tempted?
